After boarding the ship we headed to the entrance of the Panama Canal. From where you can see the skyscrapers and the Bridge of the Americas.
Miraflores Locks
Then we go to the Miraflores Locks where the ship ascends 18 meters in its two water chambers, to match the height of Lake Miraflores.
Pedro Miguel Locks
After navigating Miraflores Lake, we arrive at the Pedro Miguel Locks where the ship ascends 9 meters in a single chamber of water, reaching the height of Gatun Lake.
Leaving the Pedro Miguel locks, we enter the famous Culebra Cut and sail until we meet the Centennial Bridge.
We continue sailing through Culebra Cut for about 13.7 kilometers until we reach our final destination at the facilities of the Panama Canal Dredging Division in Gamboa. From there we are transported by bus back to our starting point in Flamenco Marina, Amador (45 minutes).
Southbound Tours ▼
This tour is the exact opposite route of northbound transit.
Here we start with a bus trip of almost 45 minutes from the Flamenco Marina, Amador to the Panama Canal Dredging Division in Gamboa.
Then we descend through the Pedro Miguel and Miraflores Locks until we reach the water level of the Pacific Ocean, disembarking at Flamenco Marina.
